Side benefits of organising

Recently, at a meeting between residents and managers of Queens Cross Housing Association, a tenant spoke out about their feelings towards the Housing Association’s way of dealing with tenants (rent hike, no repairs and lack of maintenance). It seems that now the Housing Association knows the voice of this tenant: not only did their bathroom get fixed after two years of no-response or botched-up attempts, the Housing Association even fixed other tenants’ homes after getting calls on their behalf from the tenant. Shows that it’s worth finding your own voice.
