Welcome to Glasgow Solidarity Network. We have just started our blog as a contact point for anyone interested in getting involved. We are starting this network in response to innumerable housing and employment abuses that we see every day in Glasgow. We know how difficult the law makes it to bring landlords and employers to justice, and we’re going to do something about that. We are modelled after the very successful Seattle Solidarity Network (SeaSol) which you can learn more about here: http://www.seattlesolidarity.net. Their site will give you an idea of the sorts of projects and tactics we are looking forward to. We are not a casework or charitable organisation; we won’t solve your problems for you, but we will help you solve them yourself. Many are stronger than few. Please do get in touch if you are interested or if you could use some help! You can email us at firstname.lastname@example.org or call us at 07842935713 – leave a message with contact details and we will get back to you.
Glasgow Solidarity Network
Deposit withheld? Illegal agency fees? Wages stolen? Repairs outstanding?
We are a volunteer group who will support your struggle to win back a deposit, wages, repairs, agency fees, or tackling bosses and landlords by use of collective direct action.
See the About section for more on how we go about this, or Contact Us if you would like to become part of the network or have a boss or landlord problem you need support to face.
Alone we may be weak - organised we can win!
